Augsburg - Via Claudia Augusta - Maloja Pass - Inntal | Mola Tereno
Hello everyone, my name is Peter and I've been travelling the Alps with the MOLA Tereno for a few weeks now, virtually non-stop, as a guide with bike groups.
From Augsburg via the Via Claudia Augusta, or from the Maloja Pass through the Inn Valley, a total of 1,380 kilometres have already been added to the MOLA's mileage in a short space of time.

MOLA Tereno Facts:

Riding position: Sporty and yet comfortable even on long tours. The longest stage on my tours is approx. 85 km and the usual muscle tensions did not occur. The standard saddle has also adapted perfectly. I might shorten the handlebars by 1 cm on each side, but otherwise leave everything as it is.

Suspension: I didn't need to change anything on the fully in the factory set-up. The e-bike masters all off-road passages with flying colours, even with two full panniers. You can clearly feel the MTB genes of the bike here.

Gear shift: The new Di2 groupset is really fun. I've mostly been riding it in manual mode so far and can react quickly when fast changes in terrain are required. The two automatic programmes can also be configured and are therefore suitable, e.g., for quiet stretches of road or city rides.

The EP8: Discreet power is all I can say. It simply feels like riding a bike. The assistance is so finely integrated that you hardly feel it after a while, but it accompanies you constantly. Most of the time, Eco mode is completely sufficient for me, which of course enourmously benefits the range for a tourer. When things become steeper on gravel, you can make great progress in Trail mode. It really pushes along and almost makes you forget about the full panniers.
I've only engaged turbo mode a few times so far. The amount of power released is enormous! At the end of a long tour, another 5 km uphill is no problem.

Brakes: Top modulation and powerful. I would have preferred slightly shorter brake levers, but that's a matter of habit and therefore easy to cope with ;-).

Tyres: Easy terrain, forest, gravel, forest paths and, of course, road. The Schwalbe tyres are very suitable for all conditions and are therefore ideally suited to the bike's area of use.

My conclusion: For me as a guide, it is extremely important to be able to fully rely on my e-bike and the MOLA Tereno has so far passed its test with flying colours. Without exaggeration, I can therefore only give the MOLA top marks.
Simply well done by HoheAcht.

It's not only a top ‘work tool’, but also a great companion when I'm travelling privately. I look forward to every kilometre on the e-bike.
At the end of the season, I will report back to you on how the MOLA has performed.

Until then
Happy trails
Your Peter
